Tipsheet Dmitri Bolt   |   June 05, 2025 4:15 PM AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes The United States Department of Education has opened investigations into California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, for ignoring anti-Semitic behavior on its campus, according to  Campus Reform . The lawsuit was brought against the university after complaints were lodged by two non-profit organizations, Jewish on Campus and The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law.  The initial complaint, made on March 6th, said that six Jewish students were subject to physical and verbal abuse, and they were barred and forced out of specific areas on campus. It further stated that pro-Palestinian activists put fake blood on Jewish students, yelled anti-Jewish slurs at them, and put up anti-Semitic graffiti. Rather than punish the rioting students, the administration, according to the complaint, encouraged Jewish students to hide their identity to avoid any confrontation with the...

It’s a Headache We Don’t Need, but the Memes From This Musk-Trump War Are Fantastic

Image
Tipsheet Matt Vespa     |   June 05, 2025 5:00 PM AP Photo/Evan Vucci What a day it has been. It’s been full-blown insanity as former Trump senior adviser Elon Musk went nuclear on Donald Trump. It’s the culmination of days of back-and-forth sparring between Musk, Trump, and congressional Republicans on the budget reconciliation package, which the Tesla CEO strongly opposes.  Elon then launched an ICBM strike, claiming that the president was in the Epstein Files, which explains the delayed release. He later said Trump’s tariff policy would cause a recession and agreed that the president should be impeached. The memes that will come out of this will be top-notch. It’s a headache we don’t need, but we cannot deny the content has been gold. Even Kanye weighed in, which I’m not sure is a good thing: Oh, man, what a day it has been.  https://townhall.com/

Tipsheet Rebecca Downs     |   June 05, 2025 8:15 PM AP Photo/David Zalubowski At the start of this week, the Jewish community once more faced a terrorist attack as Mohamed Soliman allegedly targeted those participating in a "Run for Their Lives" in support of those taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023. The attack took place in Boulder, Colorado. While the city council for the most part appears to have rallied around those affected, one member couldn't be bothered to sign a statement: Taishya Adams. Marina Medvin highlighted over X the absence of Adams' name as well as the text of the statement,  which is posted to  the official Boulder website and is featured at the top banner of the homepage as part of the "Community Resources" As the statement reads in full, before mentioning the signers: As our community continues to reel from the act of violence and terror that occurred on our beloved Pearl Street Mall yesterday, we, as Boulder City Council members...

Aaron Bean (R-FL) are teaming up to introduce a commonsense bill that would codify one of the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) most significant  cost-cutting measures . This move reinforces Ernst’s commitment to eliminating waste and protecting taxpayer dollars, and it positions the initiative as a potential pay-for for President Donald Trump’s landmark Big Beautiful Bill.   Senator Ernst and Representative Bean are teaming up to codify one of DOGE’s most significant cost-saving initiatives to crack down on fraudulent and improper payments, totaling over  $160 billion  in Fiscal Year 2024. Their bill, the  Delivering On Government Efficiency (DOGE) in Spending Act , would require the Treasury Department to link each federal payment to a budget account, include a clear description, and cross-check it against...
